Meet Our Dental Hygienists:
Amber
R.D.H.
Amber is from Phoenix, AZ where she graduated from Phoenix College’s Dental Program in 2007. She then moved to Portland and has been living here ever since.
Amber loves working with the friendly and amazing staff at Powell Dental and is excited to be apart of the team.
Amber is married with one daughter, who keeps her very busy. Amber enjoys biking, hiking, Pilates and yoga.
Sharika
R.D.H.
Sharika was born and raised in Portland, spending most of her formative years growing up on beautiful Mt. Hood. She graduated in 2003 with a BS in Dental Hygiene from Lima Linda University School of Dentistry. After graduating and before moving back to the Pacific NW, she practiced hygiene in Southern California.
When she is not working, Sharika grows specialty cut flowers on her property in the Columbia River Gorge and uses them to design for weddings and events. She also spends time coaching her kids soccer and basketball teams, as well as camping, hiking, paddle boarding, playing volleyball and going on as many outdoor adventures as possible with her two boys and their Australian Shepherd dog Jasper.
Sharika has been with Powell Dental since 2018 and couldn’t imagine a better family to work with.
Kyla
R.D.H.
Kyla is one of our hygienists and enjoys helping patients care for their smile.
After studying Public Health at Oregon State (Go Beavs), the Portland area became home. Her career began in 2015 when she completed the Dental Hygiene program at Portland Community College.
As an Oregon native Kyla enjoys the many blessings of the Northwest—especially the outdoors. When she isn’t at work you can find her with her 2 kids and dog Timber. They are usually on the go— soaking up time with friends and family, sports, getting crafty, hiking around or attempting to cook.
Cheri
R.D.H.
Cheri moved from Colorado to the Portland area about six years ago and graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Mt. Hood Community College. She is excited to now be working with the Powell Dental team and is passionate about providing compassionate, quality care to every patient.
Outside the office, Cheri enjoys spending time in outdoor activities such as gardening, exploring new places, or just soaking up some fresh air and sunshine.

Veronica

Veronica has been working at Powell Dental since 2019. Before she was recruited to train and become a dental assistant, she worked for the Blair family as their nanny.
In her free time, she loves to cook, spend time with her dog Oolee, and hang out with friends and family.
She says that working at Powell Dental has been an amazing experience and looks forward to many more wonderful years with this awesome team.

Kaitie

Kaitie graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Clackamas Community College in 2018 and has been assisting ever since. She joined Powell Dental in 2022 and has truly found a family within the team. Outside of work, Kaitie enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog Lady, and loves going camping and snowboarding with her family.
Juli
Dental Assistant
Juli started as a patient here at Powell Dental, then was invited to be a part of the team. She has enjoyed the process of learning and growing in the dental field and works to continue expanding her knowledge. When she was younger, she had great experiences with her childhood dentist who made the whole process fun and took away the stigma and scary aspects of dentistry. Because of this, her goal is to provide the same experience for the patients here at Powell Dental. In her free time, she enjoys adventuring outdoors in the PNW. She also loves spending quality time with her kitties, family, and friends. She looks forward to many more years with her second family, Powell Dental.
Sasha
Dental Assistant
Sasha moved to Portland from Tucson, AZ and has since completed a thirteen-week dental assisting program at Elite Dental Assisting Academy in Vancouver, WA. They joined the Powell Dental Team in August of 2025 and are grateful to learn and grown as an assistant in such a friendly and welcoming environment.
Outside of work, Sasha enjoys making art, reading, watching movies with friends and being a taste tester for their partner’s delicious culinary creations.

Brittany
Billing
Brittany began her journey in the dental field as an assistant before making the shift to front office. She has been with Powell Dental since 2024 and has enjoyed being apart of such a fun, dynamic team.
Brittany was born in California and moved to Portland in 2003 where she eventually married her high school sweetheart. They share a son and two dogs together. Brittany enjoys sports, traveling, and hosting events with friends and family.

Treatment Coordinator
April was raised by a dentist and has been in the field her entire life. She came to Powell Dental in 2015 bringing in over 30 years of experience working both in front and chair side. She loves the positive and fun atmosphere!
As a native Ohioan, she moved to Oregon in 1978 and has called it home since. She is an avid quilter, loves to garden, and rings in her Church’s handbell choir. She is mother to two, Brian and Madeline, as well as the family’s cats and dog.
